Alex C. Fan, President

Alex C. Fan oversees the advisory activities for all transactions. Mr. Fan has had extensive experience in accounting, M&A, raising growth capital, and management consulting across various industries. He has represented both buyers and sellers in numerous transactions between North American and Asian companies. In 2010, Mr. Fan led Beijing-based Pacific Century Motors, a public-private acquisition consortium, in the acquisition of "Nexteer", the steering division of General Motors for US $480 million. This followed the 2009 US $90 million acquisition of Delphi Corporation’s brake and suspension unit by a similar acquisition consortium. The "Nexteer" transaction represented the largest overseas acquisition made by a Chinese company in the automotive parts industry.

Prior to forming Crestridge Consulting, Mr. Fan was a partner at Chen and Fan, southern California’s pre-eminent accountancy corporation targeting Chinese businesses. As a partner, he led the company’s audit practice and maintained a client base that included banks, manufacturers, technology companies, and real estate developers. He also provided accounting advisory to many of the largest public and private companies in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Prior to joining the accountancy corporation in 1990, Mr. Fan held senior positions at banks as well as at Deloitte, Haskin, and Sells, now Deloitte and Touche.

Mr. Fan earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin and a Bachelor’s degree from National Taiwan University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of AICPA, and a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. Mr. Fan currently serves on the Board of Directors of New Omni Bank, a Los Angeles community bank.
